Ric Lawyer is a former president and a coach for the North Gold Coast Seahawks basketball club, with a history of leading teams to championships at both junior and senior levels, including coaching the Seahawks SBL team to six grand finals, winning four. Ric is also a glass artist with over 40 years experience. Upon relocating to Australia, he set up “The Glass Studio” in Mackay and started glass blowing at “The Fisherman’s Glass” studio. He then established his first hot gallery in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, continued in Kuwait and now has shop in Surfer’s Paradise.

Episode 16 - Michele Timms

Australian basketball legend Michele Timms joins Bruce and Steve for another episode of The Reverse Pivot.
Michele is a basketball coach and former player who was won five WNBL championships. Michele has played five seasons for the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA, and he was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008 and the FIBA Hall of Fame in 2015. In 2024, Michele became the third Australian to be inducted into the Naismith Hall of Fame. These days, Michele is the director of the Michele Timms Basketball Academy.
